These images were taken during a trip to Argentina in 2008. I intended the trip to be an escape from the stresses of my life in the United States. Unfortunately while in Argentina I faced several physical illnesses, family drama, and heart ache. I came to realize that no matter where you go in the world, you will always have to face yourself. What saved me during this three month journey were my cameras. Armed with a Holga, a Nikon FE2, and film, I explored the space around me visually while reflecting on my feelings internally. The images created during this trip culminated into some of my favorite images ever made.
